AGE GROUPS

U5-U6

  • These age groups utilize the smallest of small-sided games (4v4) to encourage player participation and touches on the ball.

  • Teams generally practice once a week, although U6 coaches may opt for a second practice

  • Players will need a size 3 ball, shinguards, and cleats

  • Practices and games are held at Shiloh Park on Kennedy Farms Parkway in the Fall and the Multipurpose field (up by the baseball fields) by the Spring.

  • The focus of these age groups is entirely on having FUN and introducing kids to the love of the game.

U7-U8

  • These age groups utilize a 4v4 format on slightly larger fields than U6.

  • Referees are introduced at this age to begin formally teaching the “rules” of the game to the players with clubs outside of BFC only. Inter squad games do not use referees

  • Teams are formed utilizing a draft in an attempt to create a fair playing environment

  • Players will need a size 3 ball, shinguards, and cleats.

 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Prices vary from age group to age group.

When can you register for Fall 2024?

Uniforms?
Uniforms will be given out in the fall, and we will use the same uniform in the spring if you are a returning player.

Are skills really worth it?
Yes, our skills program is one of the best by far. We have our licensed coaches teaching your child the necessary skills to improve their game and grow as a soccer player. And the best thing, we offer it for FREE!

Does my child have to play Rec Soccer to play on the Academy team?
Yes, they do have to play Rec to play Academy. U8 Academy is a secondary form of training at a higher level. This is a Mississippi Soccer Association rule not a BFC rule.

Why does U4 TOTS not have any teams?
We have started our new Tots program and it seems to be really working well. We have our licensed Staff out there on Saturday mornings to show and work with your children on soccer activities that will eventually turn into soccer skills. These coaches play games and teach them the correct way of playing soccer. You come Saturday mornings and have a practice and then do a small sided 3v3 game! Kids and Coaches love it!

How can I help?
Our Recreational Side of BFC is Strictly VOLUNTEER only. We volunteer all our time to provide children with the love of soccer and have a fantastic place to play soccer! We are always needing volunteers - coaches, directors, committees, help with tournaments, sponsorships, board members, etc. If you can think of it we probably need your help. If you are willing to help in anyway please email admin@brandonfc.com and we would love for you to join our team!

How do I stay connected with BFC so I know important things that happen?
Good question! Download the playmetrics app, visit our website, we have a Facebook page (Brandon Futbol Club), Instagram page (brandonfutbolclub), and a Twitter page !
