WESLEY NOBLE

Director of Coaching

Wesley currently serves as The Director of Coaching for BFC. Wesley has been a part of Brandon Futbol Club since 2010. He was named Girls Competitive Coach of the year for the state of Mississippi in 2017.

He began coaching Collegiately in 2013 as the Mississippi College Student Assistant. He then joined the Men’s Coaching Staff at Holmes CC. He is currently the Associate Women’s Head Coach at Holmes CC. In his first two years as the Women’s Associate Head Coach, Noble led the Lady Bulldogs to the first two MACJC North Division Championships in program history. The Lady Bulldogs rewrote the record book in every category possible. The Lady Bulldogs have compiled a 27 – 3 record and been back to back NJCAA Region XXIII Finalists. He holds the NSCAA National 5 and 6 Diploma, National D License, and the NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma.

Wesley grew up playing for BFC and BSL. He was on the first team to start BFC and captained the team for 4 years. He played 5 years for Brandon High School, had the best record in school history senior year, was All State, and All Division Player of the Year. He was the captain for the bulldogs his senior year and also played in MHSAA All Star game.

Wesley attended Francis Marion University in South Carolina on a soccer scholarship. He played at Holmes Community College his sophomore year where they won the first ever division title. He was captain of the team, broke the all time assist record in one year, MVP, and NJCAA All Region XXIII Selection. He played at Mississippi College his Junior year where they won the first ever conference championship.

GENTRY JOHNSON

Director of Player Development

Gentry is entering his first season as the Director of Player Development for BFC. Gentry comes from Wilmington, North Carolina where he has been coaching for Wilmington Hammerheads Youth Football Club, one of the top clubs in North Carolina, for the past 8 years.

Gentry’s teams have competed amongst the top teams in the nation. His 02 Girls just recently won the Southern Regional Premier League First Division, Jeff Cup, and NCFC’s CASL Showcase in the ECNL bracket. He was a staff coach on the 01 Girls who lost in the semifinals of the Region III Championships last summer.

Currently, Gentry holds his USSF “C” License, USSF National Youth License, and World Football Academy Coaching certificate.

Gentry grew up playing in Wilmington, North Carolina for the 91 Breakers and New Hanover High School. Gentry helped lead both teams to a State Cup Final, as well as match in the State Finals in North Carolina. After his youth career, Gentry played at Francis Marion University. Thereafter, he transferred to Cape Fear Community College where he captained the team. Gentry moved on from CFCC, and played his remaining years at Greensboro College. Gentry graduated from UNCW with a business management degree.

 

OUSMANE COULIBALY

Assistant Director of Coaching

Ousmane Coulibaly comes to BFC with over 15 years of experience. Ousmane spent the last 15 years with Jackson Futbol Club, MS Fire, and most previously Mississippi Rush Soccer Club. Coulibaly is also the Associate Head Men’s Soccer Coach/Assistant Women’s Soccer coach at Holmes Community College where he has been for 4 years.

He is originally from Burkina Faso, West Africa, where he earned over 20 caps for the full National Team including qualification matches for the 1998 FIFA World Cup. He graduated from the University of Mobile with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Infor­mation Systems.

Playing for Mobile, Coulibaly re­ceived 1st Team Gulf Coast Athletic Conference All-Conference and NAIA 1st Team All-American Honors. Coulibaly played semi-professional soccer in the United States for the Jackson Chargers, Mid-Michigan Bucks, and Mississippi Brilla. He also played professional soccer in Africa for Union Sportive Des Cheminots De Bobo-Dioulasso and Racing Club De Bobo-Dioulasso. Coulibaly has obtained the USSF D License and National Youth License.

He can also be found as a player for Burkina Faso on the FIFA ’98 video game by EA Sports

 

HUMERTO PALAEZ

Director of Goalkeeping

Humberto is entering his second year as the GK Coach for BFC. His quote that he coaches by is, “Trust the Process.” His process has been improving our GK’s tremendously from a technical, tactical, and mental aspect of the game. Humberto has been doing GK training for over 5 years now around the metro area and in Panama.

Humberto is a current Chattanooga FC player where he was most recently named the 2016 Gulf South Conference Player of the Year. This is extremely rare for a GK. He also helped MC to the Regular Season Championship.

Before Coming to the states, Humberto played for the Panama National Team from 2012 – 2014. While in Panama, he directed camps and a GK Academy.

 

BILL HOOD

Bill is a certified USSF “D” licensed coach. A native of Mississippi, he grew up playing club soccer with Clinton – Arsenal, winning State Cups and representing MS at Regionals every year. After club soccer and two high school state championships (Captain), he was a standout defender for both Mississippi College and later Spring Hill College, where he received his BS in Biology/Chemistry.

Upon graduation from “The Hill”, he coached both the Men’s and Women’s soccer teams for the 2005-2006 season before moving to the Jackson area. He has coached boys and girls club teams since 2008 most previously with the MS Fire, and also two seasons for Madison-Ridgeland Academy, including a girl’s championship appearance. He is the current Florence High School Girls Coach and most recently just won the 4A State Title.

He lives in the Pearl/Brandon area with his wife, Jera and son, Dane. “Soccer has had such a positive influence on my life, I hope that I can show my appreciation to the game, my coaches and mentors, by giving back through it.”

JON MARCUS DUNCAN

Jon Marcus has coached with BFC for 4 years. He most recently coached the U12 girls team.

He has been the head boys and girls soccer coach at Jackson Prep since 2000 where he has guided the Lady Patriots to 10 state championships and the Patriots to 10 state championships.

Prior to coming on board at BFC, Jon Marcus coached at Jackson Futbol Club from 2001 — 2010 where he was the head coach for ages U-11 through U-16. He is a graduate of the University of Mobile where he was a member of the soccer team and 3 time Gulf Coast Athletic Conference selection from 1996 — 1998.

 

ADAM MAYFIELD

Adam Played for Rankin United/ Aslans / MS United D1 Club while he was growing. He played four years at Brandon High School where he was a Senior Captain. He won a state championship at Brandon High in 2002.

He furthered his playing career after high school at Hinds Community College. During his two years playing for the Eagles, Adam was All State in 2005, All Region in 2006, 2005 Southern District Finalist, MACJC State Champion both years, and NJCAA Region XXIII in both 2005 and 2006.

He coached for Pearl United U16 Boys where he led them to 2 state championships. He has been with BFC for 5 years where he has coached multiple age groups. Adam holds his D’ License.

 

EDMUND DAVID

Coach David has been integral part of the DII program within Brandon Futbol Club and has experienced many successes with his teams. He played Select soccer in Puerto Rico and later moved to Brandon, MS with his family.

His coaching career started when his daughters started playing soccer. As they both moved on to Division I soccer, he continued coaching DII and DI teams for several Mississippi Soccer Organizations. He most recently comes from Alliance FC in Meridian. He holds a US Youth Soccer D License, USYSA National Youth License and State Goalkeeping Diploma

 
 

DREW PEGUES

Drew grew up playing club soccer for his entire life. He played for MS United Futbol Club and Brandon Futbol Club. Drew was a standout at Brandon High School and was a member of the 2010 team which holds the best record in school history.

After high school Drew went to play at Mississippi College and Holmes Community College. While at Holmes, Drew was awarded the Golden Boot Award and was named an All State Selection.

Drew has been coaching with BFC for 2 years in the academy and has done a fantastic job of building the foundation for our young players
